Dearest Sheffey Family,
My heart truly continues to ache for your family. We are a WashU family and hearing of Orli´s passing changed me as a mother forever. I have not taken one day with my children for granted. I am so incredibly sorry for the hole that I´m sure is left in your family and I pray that God continues to soften the pain that you feel. We have a book from WashU that has a photo of Orli in and I look at it often and I thank her for pushing me to be a better mother by reminding my children how much I love them every day! Orli will always hold a special place in my heart and so will your family. All my love Mickey

My heart breaks for your family and Orli´s many friends. My son is a senior at WashU and unfortunately did not know Orli. I wish he had, she sounds like she was an amazing young woman who changed every life she touched. I can´t even imagine the pain you´re in. May her memory bring some comfort to you in the days ahead. I was a kindergarten counselor at Ramah Day Camp in 2007. I remember Orli with the sweetest little face, and that she was a joy to be around. It was so fun to see her develop friendships with the other girls. I´m so proud to see how accomplished she was and to learn of her passionate support of reproductive rights. It is heartbreaking to hear of Orli´s passing. My deepest condolences to Orli´s family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

My heart is sadden at the loss of this lovely young woman. I had the privilege to sit with Orli and her dad at a 10th Dems dinner a few years ago. I was impressed by her maturity and her passion for her causes. I will never forget that evening and feel fortunate that I got to know her in that brief time I spent with her and her father.
