Peggy and I were friends in Evanston and continued our friendship even though we chose to live on different coasts of Florida. We always had lots to share with each other, both relishing good conversation. I´m including a photo from an event in Cocoa Beach we attended together. I´ll miss Peggy and send my condolences to all her family.

Peggy and I met at the Democratic Women's Club of Indian River County, FL in 2019. We quickly became friends and realized we had children of similar ages and shared a passion for women's rights. We supported each other as we navigated the challenges which accompany aging and tried to keep our spirits up while living in a state which is far more conservative than the ones we migrated from.
I'm still trying to process her passing. I pray for her eternal peace and for her family to find some comfort when reflecting on the happy times, her infectious smile, and her wicked sense of humor. May the angels welcome you with open arms.

Aunt Peggy sent me this photo she took in her backyard for Megan to show she was okay before Hurricane Matthew

I felt a special connection to Aunt Peggy as soon as I met her. She’s the spectacular spunky, cool and very loving aunt that I never knew I had but seemed like had been in my life forever once we met. I felt like we were sisters even though technically I’m her niece in law. Aunt Peggy has that youthfulness, playful spirit and exuberance that few are able to hold onto in life, if they can find it at all. She was never one to hold back a good joke or a tell-it-as-she-sees it observation in life. Her love, laughter and joyfulness are so great that those near her immediately can’t help but smile and live in the present moment with her. My heart will always carry that irresistible smile and carefree joy that she shared and ignited in me, and surely so many countless others.

Dear Peter, Megan & James,
I will cherish the wonderful memories of Peggy’s visits with us in New York, in our home and to the hotel. I wish we had more time together and more visits but God had different plans for you. Peggy you were loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Peter, Megan and James, sending you lots of hugs and prayers. Love, Susie

My dear sweet Aunt Peggy. You will be missed. You always made me laugh with your fierce, down to earth take it like it is attitude. I have learned from you to say it like it is! I love you very much and will miss you dearly. I am so sorry for your loss Uncle Peter, Megan, and James my sympathies are with you and praying for your strength. I love you all.

Peggy, I love you so much and will miss you beyond words. I will always treasure our last, great call - you repeated your (frequent!) urging that I stop working so hard& now I’m finally going to take it. I’m broken by losing you, and our (earthly) future as sisters, but I’ll draw upon your legendary “fight” to piece myself back together. I share the sorrow of Peter, Megan, James, and all who love you.
