Steve,
I just recently learned of Pete's passing and was saddened by the news. I'm very sorry that due to the timing I wasn't able to pay my respects in person. Pete always had a smile and kind words for everyone who knew him. He was a great son, brother, father and friend. He was a good man and he is certainly missed. My sincere condolences go out to you and your family. Take care and my best to you and yours.

Although there are many fine qualities Peter will be remembered for, the ones that springs to my mind centered around our days together on the football field at Holy Cross High School. Anyone who watched Pete play knew what a special athlete he was. As a running back, he was simply the best player on the best team HC ever produced. That said, the best thing about him was his humility. I've never seen such a combination of pure talent combined with equanimity. He was a sportsman in the truest sense and gave all of us who played with him and the many people in attendance every week a reminder of the real reasons for playing any team sport...fun and fellowship. My prayers include Pete's intentions, and my condolences to Pete's family. When Pete was leading the way winning the football conference Title, I was a Freshman playing the same position in the same program. He made quite an impression.
