Mark C. Athas

Springfield Mark Athas passed away quietly at home on Monday April 21, 2025. Mark was born in Springfield on March 14, 1974 to Carol (Bolduc) Athas and Robert Athas (deceased) Mark graduated from East Longmeadow High School and attended AIC until his medical issues prevented further attendance. He previously was a member of the Boy Scouts troop 279 which he enjoyed. Mark's physical activities were cut short in his late teens due to medicals issues that led to his use of a wheelchair. Mark grew up as the computer grew and he took to this with a zeal allowing him to socialize in ways he count not do physically. Mark Maintained a bravery during this time and new complained or looked for pity and always with a smile and wit that impressed non family members. Mark's passing will leave a hold in the lives of those who knew and loved him. May he be free from the pain that he bore with such awesome courage. Services will be held privately.
