We really miss you Mr. Blum, You were assigned to us I believe in 1979 when you were at the law office of Mr. Steinberg. Then we became one of your very first clients when you opened your own law practice on ilIinois street. We will always remember the day we met, you were so professional yet so friendly and caring right off. You handled our home purchase and made the experience so easy and pleasant, you also took great pride in how you handled some of our other needs. You have always made us feel as if you were so happy to hear and see us your smile your had shakes were genuine. I want you to know we felt the same way about you it was always such a pleasure and privilege to see you.
I felt like we were a part of your family from day one. I will never forget the day Bill and I decided to just drop by your office on Illinois street to surprise you and just say hello, only to find out you had passed, we were both just heart broken. You became a dear friend for life and we will always hold you near to our hearts. Rest in the arms of God. We will never ever forget you.

Dear Jan, Alex, Zach and Sam,
It's almost impossible to express how much we cared for Steve and how much he will be missed by us and by everyone who knew him. He was always warm and friendly to us and every time we saw him he was smiling. Sometimes people ask almost casually "How's things?", but in Steve's case, he really meant it.
Whiel we know this must be a be a very difficult time, we hope you take some comnfort in knowing that your many friends care very much about you and are always available for anything you need, so don't hesitate to call.
People may forget what you say
People may forget what you do
But people will never forget how you made them feel
Steve always made everyone feel great

Dear Jan,
I ran into Steve last week at the Lake County Courthouse - he gave me his wonderful bear hug and we had a few minutes to catch up with each other. Karen called me yesterday to tell me the sad news but when we spoke about his passing our words were only about the 35 years that we have known him and you. We loved him and our thoughts are with him and with your family.

Dear Jan, Al, Zach, Samantha:
I am so sorry for your loss, I know how much Steve loved you four and he would have wanted you to be happy instead of sad. He loved you four more than anything.
I had worked for him from 97-2000, I quit, and came back last year. But before I came back everytime I would call Norma (his secretary, my sister)and I would get to say hi to Steve, he would tell me (Are you ready to come back?). And he would make me laugh but I finally gave in. Because he is the nicest, sweetest person someone can work for and be friends with. He was one of those people that you ask yourself, "how can he be so nice all the time", but that was just Steve, always nice. Always thinking about other people before himself. And for that, he deserves the most respect out of everyone.
Steve, Norma, Jeff and myself miss you so very much! And the rest of my family miss you too!I'm even going to miss you giving me work to do! I know god is taking good care of you for all the good things you did down here.
You and your family will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

As a divorce lawyer I've see Steve in the Court house for too many years. Only recently did I have the joy of having a case against him. He was professional, pleasant and a good man - a combination of qualities too many who practice in gthis area do not have. He will be missed.

Dear Steve,
If your lucky, maybe once in a life time you'll be fortunate enough to meet a person of Steve's uniqueness and caliber. I was one of those people. Not only was Steve my attorney but in the 8 years I knew him I grew a special bond with him. We became friends, and no matter what my problem he was there to remmedy it. I cannot tell you how much I will miss his comforting voice and his ability to make large problems seem so small. His heart was far to big for his body and his soul filled with so much goodness that only God could have had a hand in that personally.
I will Miss you my friend and I will remember you for all eternity for all that you"ve given and taught me as a person.
God speed to your destiny my friend on the wings of Angels for I know that the lord has much more for you to do else where.
Forever and with great love and respect your friend always,
Until I see you again,
Walter XO
