James Piluso Obituary

JAMES PAUL PILUSO James Paul Piluso, born to Jessie and Louie Piluso on March 30, 1946, passed away on August 23, 2022 in his home, surrounded by loving family members. He was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in early August and passed shortly thereafter. Although a blessing that he did not suffer long, his passing was sudden and unexpected. Those who knew him endearingly called him Jim or Jimmy. Jim was born in Utica, NY and grew up in Yorkville, NY. He moved to southern California in his late teen years after graduating from Whitesboro High School. He eventually settled in Chico, CA where he led a happy life and successful career. In retirement, Jim enjoyed playing golf, socializing with friends and spending time with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick to lend a helping hand. Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Loma, of 39 years, 7 children in descending order Dorothe Piluso (Michael Burns), Angela Piluso, Steve Piluso (Trish), Garrett Piluso, Caroline Piluso (Miles), Craig Piluso (Emma Harris) and Keri Austerman (Ian), 10 grandchildren, his brother Steve Piluso (Cathy), brother in law J Knight (Judy) and dozens of cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on October 8 at the Masonic Center in Chico at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Butte Home Health and Hospice.

I'm sorry to hear that Jim has left us too soon. I me him through Church. He was one of my favorite people and I will miss not being able to see him. I think the last time I saw him was at Cal Java Coffee. I'm looking forward to seeing him again in heaven!
