LAWNA DESOTO Obituary

LAWNA GAIL DESOTO

In loving memory of Lawna DeSoto, also known as "Windsong Wolf" and the "Women Who Walks with Wolves" who died suddenly at the age of 65 on July 29, 2009.

Born to Lloyd and Yvette Scott on April 19, 1944 in Canada, Lawna moved with family to California when she was a young girl and has lived here ever since.

Lawna will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She always helped those around her without thought for herself, and always went out of her way to buy gifts for those she loved and cared about. She was the mother, the sister, the grandmother the friend who was always there for you. She will forever remain in our hearts.

Lawna is survived by her three beloved wolf pups, Lakota, Lakesha and Raven. Her brother, Les Scott of Paradise, CA; her son, Robert Hooper and his wife Melinda of Kingsburg, CA; her daughter, Michelle Baltzley and her husband Brian; her grandchildren, Nicolas, Jacob and James Hooper and Jessica and Kayti Baltzley, also survive her.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on August 29, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at 2836 Stirrup Dr., Oakley, CA.

In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Northwest Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at 2787 So. 5th Ave., Oroville, CA 95965.

She was a very loving and caring woman, who loved all animals and antique furniture. I was devastated to hear about her passing. I still loved her even after we divorced.
