CADOTT - Clarence J. Seichter, 73, of Cadott passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at his home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
Clarence was born on Oct. 15, 1935, in the town of Delmar, the son of Erwin John and Margaret (Plass) Seichter.
Clarence was married to Laurie Szczech in 1973 and she preceded him in 1992. He than married Geraldine "Shorty" Roder in 1996.
He grew up in the town of Delmar. He lived and farmed on the family farm in rural Boyd and later resided in Cadott. Clarence enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Shorty" Seichter; children, Kerri (Mike) Richards, Chad Seichter, Scott (Donna) Paull, and Denise (Jim) McConville; step-children, Brian (Becky) Boyea, Denise (Craig) Knitter, Lori (Al) Wik, Lynette (Tom) Jenness and Bruce (Deidre) Boyea; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Marylee) Seichter, Jerome Seichter, Richard (Karen) Seichter; sisters, Delores Woychik, Rosemary Horel and Leona (Sylvan) Rothbauer; and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Komro and Marvin Dierich.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; first wife Laurie; granddaughter Kayla McConville; brother Bernard Seichter; sisters, Lucille Komro, Marcella Schumacher, Irene Dierich, Patricia Seichter; brothers-in-law, Paul Woychik and Joe Horel; and a sister-in- law Dorothy Seichter.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott with Fr. Donald Bauer officiating. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with a 7:30 p.m. vigil prayer service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Naqvi and staff at the Sacred Heart cancer center and the St. Joseph's Hospice for there special care given to Clarence.
