Funeral services for Paul V. Rasmus were held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Deacon Mark Arnold. Rev. Daniel DuChez officiated at the prayers of interment in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Military rites were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Music during the Mass was provided by organist, Judy Brist and soloist, Wilfred Hebert. A reflection after Mass was given by George Roberts.
Honorary Casket Bearers were Jeff Eystad and John McCarthy. Casket Bearers were Jamie Gubrud, Jim and John Eystad, Dustin Milbrath, Erik Rasmus and Mike, Tom and Jim McCarthy.
Tuesday afternoon the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 recited the rosary and Tuesday evening Rev. Jazdzewski led the family, relatives and friends in a Christian Vigil Service at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls.
