In Loving Memory of Leila Jaiden Rodriguez 2006 – 2025
With deep sorrow and overflowing love, we share the passing of Leila, age 18 – a radiant soul who left this world far too soon. Like a butterfly dancing on a breeze, Leila brought lightness, beauty, and color to every life she touched.
Leila was a vibrant young woman, full of warmth, mischief, and joy. Her spirit was as bold as it was tender – sassy, silly, and completely unforgettable. She was proudly a silly goose, never afraid to be herself or make others laugh.
She loved music, especially her favorite band Hail the Sun, and found happiness in the energy of live concerts. She enjoyed crocheting and lovingly created keepsakes for her family, each one made with care and thoughtfulness. She loved the color pink and butterflies – bright, delicate things that suited her soul.
Leila graduated high school a year early and was on her path to becoming a dental hygienist. She worked hard at Starbucks, where she was not only admired for her dedication but also deeply loved by her coworkers and friends.
She leaves behind her loving mother Brenda Robinson, devoted father Stephen Rodriguez, adoring siblings Wyatt and Kinsleigh, maternal grandparents Andree and Doug Robinson, paternal grandparents Rhonda Alger and Dave Fosselman, beloved boyfriend Nik Rosen and a myriad of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Leila's legacy is one of laughter, kindness, creativity, and love. Though she has flown beyond our reach, like a butterfly into the sky, her beauty remains with us – in memories, in music, in pink sunsets, and in every soft, sweet moment that reminds us of her.

Leila you were the sparkle on every ocean wave. The way sunlight dances through the leaves it feels like how you always walked through a room. Warm, inviting, ready to make everyone laugh. Your ability to be the best version of yourself always, the confidence you have, and embarrassment never being a thing in your world, I always admired. You were never afraid to try new things, wear a Jesus costume in school, show up to my house in the middle of the night just to take a picture and leave ominously, and stand up to my bullies when I never could. You were the most funniest, absolutely beautiful person Ive ever met in my life. Your big captivating eyes always were my favorite past time to look at, I never got enough of all the hair colors you went through. Your style I was always jealous of, you were such a pro at thrifting. Thank you for always inviting me to things, you never made me feel left out. Leila, I hope your still making people laugh up there, and eating as much spicy wings you could ever stomach. I love you Leila.

Sweet Leila bby, you were the brightest light, with the sweetest soul, the uniqueness you had to you was something I truly admired. Your confidence and willingness to be you is something I will forever be inspired by and look up to. I´m so beyond blessed to have grown up with you and get to experience your amazing love, light, passion, kindness, pureness, beauty and resilience. You were the one person that stood by my side during the toughest times growing up. No matter what it was, you were always right there with open ears and funny comments. The laughter and joy you brought to this world was something that is extremely hard to find in this world. I love you so much Lei. You were a light that influenced so many peoples lives including my own. There was never a single time we hung out that I didn´t laugh the whole time. Im so grateful we were able to grow up together and remain close, I always knew no matter what happened we would always be there for eachother and that is a blessing. Leila was the absolute coolest young person I have met. From her knowledge of movie and music culture to her love of life and food to her goofiness and loyalty. I will so miss her "Hey queen". She was one of the best of us at and my life is better after having her it, even briefly. All my love.

leila, my sweet girl. words cannot describe the loss that your absence leaves in this world. in each beautiful moment, i think of you. in the pink wildflowers scattered on the sides of the road, in the sunsets and clear, starry skies, in black cats, and warm blankets, and in the faces of all the people i love most.
being around you, there was never a dull moment. you brought a light to a room that is intangible. you took on the world in your own leila-fied way, and it never failed to amaze me. you are one of the most unique people i have ever met, and one of my most loyal friends.
in every moment i felt alone, you were there to make sure i knew someone understood me. in the times i felt like i was crazy, or dramatic, you'd be the first person to tell me i was much better than you, because you'd have acted crazier, and one of the only people to constantly stand by me, through thick and thin.
i'm so blessed to have had the chance to be close to you throughout your time on this planet, being the sole provider of thousands of smiles, stomach aching laugh sessions, and happiness for those all around you.
i'll miss you in every moment, but i know you'll be watching over me, as you always have. making sure that i never feel alone.
thank you for being one of the most beautiful people i have ever spent my life with, both inside and out. you are loved beyond measure.

Leila you are truly one of my most favorite people I´ve ever got the privilege of meeting. You never failed to make my day better the second I saw you. No matter what we ever talked about, you never made me feel alone regardless of how strange the topic was. I think it´s quite funny that every photo I have of you is goofy or weird, but I truly find that telling of who you are as a person. I can´t wait to go see Hail the Sun in November, and remember when you´d play them for me in newspaper. I´ll see you in every beautiful sunset, every pretty pink flower, and every beautiful song. Leila was one of the most vibrant girls i met in my lifetime. She was so silly and kind. I remember we would talk to each other at our breaks. She would also give me free drinks and snacks. She would tell me that she felt welcomed in my presence and it meant the world to me. Her fighting spirit and her kindness made me feel so welcomed.
