Douglas VONDERHAAR Obituary

VONDERHAAR, Douglas W. Sr. Beloved husband of Ann Theresa (nee DeCuir). Loving father of Cynthia Ann (Terry) Noakes, Douglas W. Jr. (Jennifer), Kirk (Amy) and Gregory (Brittany) Vonderhaar. Grandfather of Tara, Shayla, Evan, Andrew, Elizabeth, Marissa and great grandfather of Sydnie Rose. Brother of Ann DaSilva and the late Henry, Raymond and Calvin Vonderhaar, Winifred LaRocca and Dorothy LaRocca. He passed away suddenly on Friday, December 2, 2011 at age 81. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and was a graduate of the University of Loyola of New Orleans. Was a retired chemical sales representative and in retirement helped to establish a successful fireplace business with his sons. He was a member of K of C and a devoted member of St. Clare parish for 50 years. Doug was an outgoing and generous person who never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed. No Visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Clare Church 1443 Cedar Ave., College Hill, Saturday December 10th at 10 AM. Reception to follow in Church undercroft. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Clare Church 45224. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
