It's hard to believe that you have been gone for 10 years. I think about you often, mostly about the good times we had together. I'll never forget our chance meeting in San Antonio and how you joined up with my hospital group for several festivities in the following days. I love you my brother.

Upon hearing about Jim I'm sure my thoughts were the same as many – Not Jim!
Jim and his comrades from Wright-Patterson supported National Park Service emergency services many summers as medics. Whether it was in Grand Canyon or Grand Teton National Parks, I could always count on Jim to be there smiling, ready to jump in providing medical assistance to visitors in their time of need, assisting park rangers with training, being in the park with an ambulance explaining the missions of both the Air Force and National Park Service, providing assistance to hikers on the Bright Angel Trail, helping with “bear jams” and ultimately providing leadership for his unit and our partnership. I have no doubt that his participation and enthusiasm were a driving force behind our success.
Even after the Air Force ended the program with the park service, I would be fortunate to occasionally hear from Jim. He was a good man who served his country, fellow service members and international public in numerous ways. I too will miss him and extend my condolences to his family and friends.

Deb, Our sincerest condolences to you and the boys. Jim has always meant so much to me. I felt that he was a real brother I never had. Over the years we have done things that most people never accomplished. We repelled with the park rangers. Served as EMTs in the most beautiful places on earth like Teton and Yellowstone and gone skydiving. What a guy. I love and miss him so much. He was the best friend anyone one of us could ever ask. As I have said if ever you need anything whatsoever please feel free to call on me anytime. I will always be standing by. I say this with much love and friendship.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim at the Dearborn CBOC. He was a great guy who loved the country he served so well. We shared a conversation late Friday afternoon (just before he left the clinic) about our love of "running". He was inquiring about my recent ankle injury (which happened while I was running a 5K on August 10th) and Jim was telling me to stay POSITIVE about my recovery. That was Jim....always a positive outlook on life. Rest in Peace, Airman! Keep a watch over us while serving in God's Air Force!!

We have gathered for funerals far too often in recent years. Good men should not go so young. I am thankful I got to spend time with Jim over the 4th of July. Be strong and remember your faith. Love always.
