John E. Sr., beloved widower of Lillian Joan (Hancock) Smith and father of Margaret, John Jr., Elizabeth, Matthew (Peggy), Amy (Jim Riegler), and Elain (Joe Heskamp), Grandfather to Sabrina, Adrienne, Benjamin (Mary), Candace, and Natalie, and Great-Grandfather of Tucker Vernon Heskamp. Elder brother of Theodore Smith (deceased), Clifford, James, and Yvonne York. Son of Henry Smith and Edna Gertrude York. Born August 15, 1932, passed October 20, 2015, at the age of 83. Retired from GE after 39 years, he was Past Master and member of the Masons for 54 years. He was raised in Alexandria, KY, married November 13, 1954 at Knox Presbyterian Church and member of Reading-Lockland Presbyterian Church for the last 37 years. Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Schmidt-Dhonau-Kucner Funeral Home, 8633 Reading Road, 45215. with funeral service Saturday, October 24,2015, 10:00 A.M. As a servant of the Lord the family requests memorials be sent to Reading-Lockland Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Cooper Avenue, Lockland, OH 45215, in his name.
