Joseph CANTWELL Obituary

CANTWELL Joseph Edwin, passed away Friday, August 29, 2003 at age 85. Joe graduated from Hughes High School in 1936. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years serving in WWII and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. Joe ended his Navy career as a instructor at the Naval Reserve Center on Gilbert Ave.. He learned the electrical trade while in the Navy and retired in 1982 from IBEW Local 212. Mr. Cantwell is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Noma E. Cantwell, sister Virginia Taylor; three children Gerald E., Timothy E., and Margaret Ann Ferone; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of Eastmister Presbyterian Church for 56 years, 62 year member of Linwood Lodge #567 F&AM, 56 year member of Order of Hercules as well as several other Military and Fraternal Organizations. Friends may call Wednesday, September 3 at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church's McCord Hall 4606 Erie Ave. from 10 A.M. until time of &AM #567 service at 11 A.M.. The funeral service will immediately follow in the main sanctuary. Committal prayers will be at Graceland Memorial Park. Thomas-Justin Memorial serving the family.
