Marie ARNO Obituary

ARNO Sr. Marie Teresa, died on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at the age of 91 at Mercy Franciscan Hospital, Mt. Airy. Sr. Marie Teresa was born in Hamilton, OH. Throughout her 70 years as a Franciscan Sister of the Poor, Sr. Marie Teresa served the poor at St. Raphael Social Service in Hamilton for 10 years. She also served at St. Francis and St. Mary Hospitals and St. Clare Convent in Cincinnati and hospitals in Columbus, OH, Quincy, IL and Covington, KY in many capacities: dietician, nursing assistant, housekeeper, vocational work, purchasing and hostess. For over 50 years, Sister also volunteered as an organist wherever she worked, even after retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Charles Arno, two brothers Joseph and Charles, and two sisters Gertrude Lake and Mary Arno. She is survived by sister Rita Fuchs of Hamilton, OH and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation is Wednesday, July 16 from 4-7 P.M. followed by prayers in St. lare Convent Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 17 in St. Clare Convent Chapel. Interment in the Convent Cemetery.
