The breadth and fullness of the life force within you were an inspiration during a difficult time of my life. You were a steadfast friend when so many others were distancing themselves. I have never forgotten the days you spent making sure I could find a path back to the tasks that were spread out before me despite my doubts and fears. Your magnanimity and dauntless spirit will never be forgotten.

Just now found out, it is a shock. Saw you last at your restaurant by the water tower 25 years ago. It was an honor to have know you. You and Scot Hamilton, two of the best people there ever were.

Mark, I'd never forgotten you and never will. Had not talked with for such a long time and just now learned you're gone. Your mind, your outlook, and humor unique. Kind and thoughtful and fun - so great to be around and you were so good to me.
I can't believe it, that I can't get you on the end of the phone. Ironic because the number so etched in my head, after all these years.

Mark, I have no words. Just heartbroken. But I smile trusting you arrived in heaven in a full skid with a wine glass in hand, not allowing even one drop of wine to fall or go to waste. You set an example of love, humor, thoughtful debate, and kindness that is matchless. Although my heart selfishly hurts for missing you, it's equally filled with the honor and humility of having been your friend. I'm also comforted knowing GiGi shared such a special friendship with you over these past years. Godspeed, my friend.
