I'm saddened to hear about the loss of such a wonderful guy. Michael and I worked together many years ago at Rippe & Kingston. There aren't many people I've kept up with from those days, but Michael was someone I've made a point to. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Michael and I worked together twice in our lives for very long periods. He was part of the Mod Squad, our team of Joe Rippe, Michael, Michelle McCarthy and me, Linnea Bonacci. We stayed in touch and he was without a doubt a deeply kind, extremely intelligent, artistic, highly skilled, and truly ethical human being and advisor to all. Above all, he loved his beautiful girls and encouraged their development. His qualities will shine all the brighter in my life and as an example to others - Michelle and I will miss him greatly all the years to come. We love you Michael, The Mod Squad

Losing someone so unexpectedly is very difficult. I have good memories of Michael growing up, spending time at our house. I taught Michael how to make pizzas with canned biscuits.
Now he is in heaven with Jesus and his mom. Rest in peace, dear cousin.

I had the pleasure of meeting Micheal through work at PNC. We had fun skiing and laughing together. He was so very kind and genuine. Without a doubt he loved his daughters more than anything. May God give the family strength during this most difficult time in your lives.

In knowing Michael for many years through his affiliation with NACVA I always found him to be kind, friendly, open and generously willing to share his knowledge and expertise. He was great to be around and such a fun guy. I'm going to miss him. My heart felt condolences to his family.

Though I can't compete with the beautiful poem above, I wanted to highlight how Michael had made an impact with people across the country. I had the pleasure of getting to know Michael through the NACVA. The escapades of our little peanut gallery--led by Michael--were the highlight of my trip to New Orleans this last summer. Before the trip, I wasn't sure how much a pregnant lady could enjoy the city, but Michael's effervescent personality gave new meaning to the phrase "belly laughs". His kind smile will be missed here in Tulsa.

In 1968 a package was delivered to the world,
Green eyes, freckles, a smile that displayed only loving innocence.
Autumn leaves, pumpkin pie, Sesame Street,
Birthday candles, Cub Scouts, radio flyers.
Jesus Christ on Sunday.
Temporary pool room in the basement,
Big league chew, Darth Vader, fishing at uncle Pete's lake.

The light of his mother's life,
The only child of his father,
Beloved of all who knew him.
A host of the very dearest,
captivated by that charm, revolved around him.
MTV, Commodore 64, driver's license,

University, guitars, video tapes.
The world opened to our most beautiful,
And glorious package.
The world was not good enough,
It was not decent enough,
Nor could it appreciate the charm,
Of that most excellent, most innocent, and most beloved package.
