Stephen STILGENBAUER Obituary

STILGENBAUER Stephen W. (Essner), 53 died February 25 after an 11 year battle against the ravages of a stroke. Preceded in death by parents Ned and Betty Stilgenbauer. Survived by life partner Brian Horton, brother Tom (Jeanne) Stilgenbauer, sisters Kathy (Bob) Littmann and JoAnn (Larry) Baldwin, cherished neices and nephews: Jim (Kirsten), Suzy (Matt), Gina, Andrea, Chris and Michelle, Lisa (John) and great neices and nephews Nathan, Drew, Lauren and Savannah, extended family, all of Cincinnati. Professional stage actor, singer, dancer, choreographer and director. Graduate of McNicholas High and University of Cincinnati with a MA in Theatre. Career credits include beginnings on the Showboat Majestic, Kings Productions, cruise lines and tours with Forbidden Broadway across US and Japan. Entertained audiences at Chicago's Drury Lane and Candlelight Playhouse, Beef & Boards, Indianapolis. Staged and directed over 100 productions in his career. Following his stroke inspired others as he continued to direct and bake Cheescakes by Steve, the "Best One-Handed Cheescakes in Town'. Visitation and celebration of his life Wednesday 4-8 P.M. , Witt, Good, Kelsch, 7312 Beechmont Ave. Anderson Twp. Mass Immaculate Heart of Mary, Thursday 10:30 A.M. Burial Gale of Heaven.
