Doris Goldie Stilgenbauer, 96, of Austintown, passed away on June 20, 2024 at Austinwoods.
She was born on February 8, 1928, in Weirton, West Virginia, a daughter to Raymond and Hattie (Buchanon) Bradford.
Doris excelled in her role as a homemaker finding joy in taking care of everyone around her. Her talents extended beyond caregiving to hobbies such as cooking and baking; her peanut butter fudge and Christmas cookies were renowned among friends and family. She also found pleasure in watching game shows and visiting casinos, but above all else, Doris held her family closest to her heart.
Doris leaves to cherish her memory her children, Nancy Campanaro of Florida, Terri (John) Johnson of Niles, and Dane Stilgenbauer of Austintown, grandchildren: Kim (Matt) Ditze, TJ Campanaro, Vicki (Eric) Matthews, James Campanaro, Vurned Michael Stilgenbauer, Christopher (Kelly) Campanaro, Dane Stilgenbauer, and Anna (Frank) Trickett. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Taylor, Kaitlyn, Elissa ,Kylie, Allie, Hannah, Ryan, Carter and Anthony as well as great-great-grandchildren Jerimiah and Jase.
Along with her parents Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Vurned Roy Stilgenbauer, who she married July 3, 1946 and passed away on December 13, 1986, her son, Vurned Lee " Butchie" Stilgenbauer and a brother Harold Bradford.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 25th from 5-6 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 6:00 at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
Doris will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with her husband.
