Steve was a childhood playmate along with the rest of the Biehl Avenue gang. I'm sorry to hear about his passing at so late of a time. But, my memories of him did not fade. He was a great guy.

We were absolutely stunned when we heard of Steve's passing. I remember him telling jokes -- he was always the first to laugh. Oh, and those cold, Elder football games! Even though everyone was dressed in purple, you could always find Steve in the crowd. He was THAT guy with the biggest smile.

We love you guys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Bev, Steve and Adam, I just found out last night that Steve passed away, he was always so good to my mom (Ruth Bauer) that I would be amiss if I didn't send a brief note. Only 60 too young to die, but he lived a good life and made his immediate and distant family very proud. His dad many years ago played catch with me and burned my hand with his hard throws, he loved baseball and taught Steve to love the game too. Steve played minor league baseball in my neck of the woods, which made us all proud. But, more that his athletic ability his big kind heart is what made him a special person. He will e missed by many but never forgotten. Thinking of you guys in your time of pain, but this too will pass and love will live on in many hearts, so sorry. Jim Bauer, Spokane WA.

I'm so very sorry for the family's loss. He always had a smile and was so kind. We would crack jokes and we'd give each other a hard time, all in fun. I know he'll be missed by many.

Bev, Stevie, & Adam,

Your loss is heaven's gain.
May the God of comfort give you his strength and peace during this difficult time.
Steve was one of the nicest and funniest guys I had the pleasure of working with at P&G.
Steve spoke often of his faith in God and his beautiful family.
He touched so many lives, including mine.

I miss my one-and-only Michigan fan in the neighborhood. But, more than that, I will miss seeing him across the street every day and having chats with him about life in general. He was a very special man, with the heart of a lion, and he will be missed deeply. Much love to you and the boys. - Dale Doyle

Bev, I forgot to even sign what I wrote to you on the previous post, so I wanted you to know it was John Goebel. Thoughts and prayers are with you all for sure.

October 23, 2014

Bev, Steve and Adam, Steve was a one of a kind person. Although we would go years without seeing one another, he and I would pick up exactly where we left it the last time. I loved his humor and I will forever treasure the pleasure of knowing him and considering him a friend. I wish I could say more to help those remaining, but that will be up to
God. I will think of you and pray for you. I wish you peace at this very sad time. Hold each other close.
