To My Shoop Family, I was with mom over Mother's Day weekend when Steve called to tell mom he was thinking of her and encouraging her to get better. Mom was so touched by his call and concerned for him also. It gives us all comfort that they're no longer suffering and that they're together. We're so lucky to have had them in our lives and I know they would encourage us to keep on living, laughing and talking about all the good times!

Dear Shoop Family
I attended St. X with Steve and remember him finely, always a great smile and a warm, joyful heart. It has been many years since I last saw Steve and I retrieved his photo from our year book when I received the notice of his passing. My prayers go out out to all of you. God Bless. To the Shoop Family,
I attended St.X High with Steve in Cincinnati. Its been some years since I last saw him. My heart goes out to his family and may God bless his soul for eternity as he is in heaven now. I am just stunned. Cancer really sucks.I hope he did not suffer. I just received the card from school informing me of Shoop's passing. I went back to my year book and I remembered Shoop and that smile and the goofy stuff we all did back in high school especially in Ms.Ortiz and Senora Holman's class. God Bless.

I just received a card from St Xavier... Steve and I were classmates. I remember him as a very happy, joyful person. Always wanting to laugh. I am so sorry to hear of this news. My heart goes out. ... I think Steve might be the first person from my class to pass away? Men for others. I am sure everyone got to share his joyful life and I am sure he shared... seemed like that type of guy. Cancer is just plain terrible. I have seen the struggle with others. God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Shoop's family. So many great college memories! So many laughs! I will always remember our daily routine of playing cards. Shoopy was the only person who could succesfully "shoot the moon" in the game of Hearts. Now he is a bright star up there. His witty humor will always remain dear to me. I will always treasure the great times we had. God bless you Shoop.
