Dear Mrs. Carruthers and family,
I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Mr. Carrurthers. He was an active member of the Harbor Springs community, and he will be missed by all those who knew him, especially around Harbor Point and the Little Traverse Yacht Club which he loved so much. He was such a great sailor and spent so much time on his various sailboats, mainly "The Wild Goose" which was a grand craft. He also loved you and your family very much. Always remember the good times you shared with him. With deepest sympathies to you and your family.

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Currether's wife and family. I just found out fifteen minutes ago that he had passed away and I was truly saddened. I was Tom's periodontist for the last 10 years and he was one of my favorite patients. I used to look forward to his visits so we could trade hunting stories or he could tell me about his latest yatching adventure. I have remarked to my staff on many occasion that I hope I have that much energy and that much fun when I am in my eightees. I have no doubt that he has left this same impression on many others.

Tom Carruthers and family are in the thoughts and prayers of the James D Farley family. We'll miss Tom's presence on Harbor Point, and his devotion to the Harbor Springs community. Susie, I know that you'll miss those long walks around Harbor Point that you and Tom took with your dogs.
