My deepest condolences to the family. No words can ever express the loss of a loved one. May all of you find comfort and peace in all the loving memories you've shared together of your father and grandfather. Please lean on God for comfort during this most difficult time because not only does he understands your grief and pain, he cares very deeply for you. (1 Peter 5:6,7)

Jack Easter, My friend. In fact Jack was a friend to everyone, never to busy to say hi and ask how you were doing. Jack wore a lot of different hats throughout his life, but to me Jack was a farmer. Many say farming is in your blood, for Jack it was in his heart. Even when he got away from it, he always came back. He had to be around it. He had to talk about it, he had to have his hands in it. Jack may not have owned thousands of acres or lots of big fancy equipment but Jack was just as much a farmer as any person I've ever known. Jack was proud of his farming heritage, he paid his dues long ago, working long hours with aged equipment, battling poor weather but never giving up until the job was done. Harvest is coming and Jack will be sorely missed this year, all of us on the farm loved and respected Jack and often seeked out his wisdom. When we were at a loss, Jack usually had the answer, when we would get upset, Jack would pull us back together. I know these last several years working for Marc, Amie, Eric and Doug were some of Jack's best. He told me that. Harvest will be bittersweet this year as an old familiar face won't be in the field, but his memory will always be present every time we plant a seed or start a combine I know we will think of Jack Easter. Lifelong Farmer.
