Charles McHone Obituary

Charles "Chris" McHone

Asheville - Charles "Chris" McHone, 54, of Asheville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence.

Born in Asheville, he was the son of Charles Livingood and Laura Emily McHone of Asheville. He was preceded in death by his loving stepfather, James Lloyd Ward, a brother, Scottie Ward, and a sister, Lynn Miller.

Chris was a 1983 graduate of Asheville High School.

A devout Cubs fan and a smooth talker who "could sell ice to an Eskimo", he was a talented baseball player and an awesome big brother and friend.

Chris is survived by his son and daughter, Christopher and Carleigh McHone , both of Asheville; 4 brothers: Brian McHone and James, Casey, and Tim Ward, all of Asheville; his girlfriend, Anna Cole; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held at the beginning of the New Year.
