Robert Trigg McHone Sr.

Robert Trigg McHone, Sr., 90, of Laurens, and husband to Joan Marie Vandevander McHone, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at their home surrounded by family.
Born in Spruce Pine, NC on September 3, 1935, he was a son of the late Avery Trigg and Gladys Buchanan McHone. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a manager at Texize. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and golf.
In addition to his wife of over 65 years, he is survived by their children, Robert Trigg McHone, Jr., Charles Ray McHone "Beamer" (Cindy), Brian Keith McHone (Terri); grandchildren, Amber Ballew (Travis), Christopher McHone (Danielle), Cale Whiteside, Hayden McHone (Christian), Tucker McHone (Savanna); great grandchildren, Ashton Ballew, Colston Ballew, Weston Ballew, Jaxon McHone, Anakin McHone; and brothers, Donald Ray McHone and Douglas McHone (Polly).
A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Jayson Payne. The family will receive friends at the mortuary immediately following the service.
The family will be at the home.
