In today´s world, everyone is taking selfies and trying to get their `five minutes of attention´. Ed Chambers was always looking for somebody else to help in some way. Whether it was another official, or a student, or someone in the community, he was thinking of ways to help them. I know, because I am one of those helped by Ed Chambers. He is and will be missed.

Such an honor to have known him. I will always cherish the times we spent fishing in the mountains together. What a great and patient teacher he was. May the memories and the many lives he touched comfort the family at this time.

Edward was my teacher, coach but most of all friend. He taught me to be strong when I didn't think I could. He made me face the hard time with the good times. He made into a young lady that believed she could do and face anything. For that I Thank him and will never forget him No more pain and suffering. May you rest in peace my friend.

I enjoyed Mr Chambers as a school teacher especially the stories he would tell us sometimes after lunch. They always made us laugh.

Ed was truly one of a kind and will always be remembered and appreciated by C-USA football officials. He was always sincere and genuine with his advice and friendship. Ed Chambers stories will last long after all our officiating careers. I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity meet and know Ed Chambers. May he finally see a coach throw that "red flag"

Such a memorable mentor. My math teacher in middle school, 7th and 8th grade at Woodfin. Saw him again at Woodfin reunion a few years ago and linked up with him on Facebook. My condolences to the family for I know this feeling. I was with my Dad when he passed, just 2 months after I graduated Woodfin at the age of 14. So long, Mr. Chambers; be at peace.
