Graham

Asheville - Eugene "Gene" Graham, 79, died Monday, July 29, 2013. He was born in Roanoke, VA June 7, 1934 and was a graduate of E.C Glass High School.

Gene entered the US Marine Corp after graduation where he became Sergeant. After the Corp he became a baker following his father. He was Superintendent of a large bakery in Orangeburg, SC, and later became Representative of a major manufacturer of flour and other bakery products when he retired.

He is survived by his wife of many years, Evelyn Graham; his sister, Sue Bell and her husband Addison of Charlotte, and his Uncle Warren Webb of Richmond, VA.; also a special person, Alena Pifer from CA.

Memorials may be made to Fairview Fire Department, 1586 Charlotte Hwy., Asheville, NC 28730. Special thanks to Beystone and to Care Partners Hospice, Asheville and Hendersonville for the loving care they gave to Eugene.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the Graham family.
