Phyllis Myron Obituary
Weaverville - Phyllis Hoffmeyer Myron, 97, of Weaverville passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Born April 2, 1920 in Port Huron, MI, she was a daughter of the late Julius Leonard Hoffmeyer and Clara Hoffmeyer. She was an alumnus of both the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelor's Degree and U.N.C. Chapel Hill where she received her Master's Degree. In 1981, she retired as head librarian from Asheville High School. She was a member and was church librarian of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Asheville, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Jefferson P. Myron; brother, Ralph Hoffmeyer; and sister, Clara Ann Hoffmeyer. Surviving are her son, Jefferson Myron and his wife, Carla, of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Beth Terzo and her spouse, Jake, of Missoula, MT, and Anthony Myron and his spouse, Regina, of Canton, NC; and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Asheville, NC. Condolences may be made to the family at www.ashevilleareaalternative.com.

I've known Phyllis ever since she moved to KyFields in 1995. Having been President for 10 years and on the Board for 19 years, she was a fine resident. It's hard to believe it's been 22 years.
