Anthony Sudo, 91, a life resident of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hanover Twp., he was a son of the late Joseph and Sophie Sudo. He was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
He returned from the service and began a 53-year career as a bus driver. He worked with the former White Transit Coach Company, Martz Trailways and later retired from the Luzerne County Transit Authority.
An avid sports fan, he enjoyed baseball, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and golfing, but he mostly enjoyed being the number one fan for his grandchildren. He was a fixture at any of his grandchildren's events. He never missed one and was the biggest supporter in the bleachers.
He cherished his time with his family and being a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Tony will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Catherine; daughter, Bonnie Fasulka and husband, Mike; and grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Matthew and Sarah.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Chapel at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
