Danielle Sweeney Obituary

Danielle C. (Space) Sweeney, 41, of Duryea, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

Born in Kingston on Jan. 10, 1977, she was a daughter of the late Donald Space and Dawn (Kelly) Barber.

She was a former employee at Schott Glass Technologies, Duryea.

Danielle enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children and her niece, Jessica.

She is survived by her husband, William J. Sweeney, who she celebrated over 22 years together; two daughters, Hannah and Gabriella Sweeney, Duryea; a stepson, Justin Sweeney, W. Pittston; a sister, Karen Barber, Trucksville; two brothers, Frank Barber, Luzerne; and James Barber, Pittston; maternal grandmother, Catherine DeRemer, Harveys Lake; several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 728 Main St., Avoca.

The procession will depart the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday for graveside service in St. Mary's Cemetery, Swoyersville.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. till the time of departure.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Janet Weiss Children's Hospital, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822.

The world will be less for not having Danielle. We cannot even begin to express our condolences. The Sweeney's are a great family and will grow stronger. God Bless and our prayers are with you.
