David Nugent, 67, of Wilkes-Barre Twp., A loving father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend passed away at home leaving behind a loving family.
He was the son of Sam and Virginia Nugent, growing up in the Wilkes-Barre and Trevose areas.
He retired after working in the construction field and many local factories working as a supervisor and forklift driver.
Dave had many passions in life. Among them was being an avid remote control airplane enthusiast. He loved spending time at Moon Lake with his peers enjoying the sport. He belonged to the Wyoming Valley R/C Fliers for 35 years.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors riding his UTV and meeting up with other riders from Georgetown. He also had a love for animals and spent many years caring for his six Chihuahuas and his granddogs, Merlin and Rudy.
David loved spending time with his family, mainly his daughter, Nicole, whom he loved with all his heart. He was extremely elated when the apples of his eyes, his grandson, Ollie, and granddaughter, Presley, were born.
He held his brothers-in-law, Luke, Scot and Kris in high regard and cared for his sister-in-law, Helen, as she held a special place in his life and his heart.
He was a great friend to many and treated them like they were a part of his family.
David leaves behind his daughter, Nicole and her husband, Ryan; grandson, Ollie; granddaughter, Presley; brothers-in-law, Luke, Scot and Kris and his wife, Tracy; sister-in-law, Helen; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Private funeral services were held from Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
