Dora (Dorris) C. Lecara of Yatesville died Saturday in the Hospice Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre after an illness.

She was the widow of the late Frank Lecara, who died in 1996.

She was born in Yatesville, daughter of the late Placido and Christina Naples Lizza.

She was educated in local schools. She was employed in the area garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union.

She was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

She is survived by her sons, Frank and his wife, Daria, with whom she resided; Vincent and his wife, Janice, Plains Township; four granddaughters, Rayna, with whom she resided; and Sarah, Marissa and Megan, all of Plains Township.

She is also survived by her brothers, Anthony, Yatesville; Placido, Plains Township; and sisters, Carmella Stefianelli, West Pittston; and Janet Carone, Moosic.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph, Sam and Joseph; sister, Anna Lizza.

Friends and relatives may call Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. Entombment will be in Good Shepherd Park Cemetery.
