Ed, I will miss you every day. I have never known anybody else with such courage of conviction. What an example you set for us all... I'm so proud to be your daughter-in-law! Together, you and Irene, showed us all what a true marriage really is and how, when two people really love one another, there is NOTHING they can't get through together. You were a pillar of strength and source of comfort to us all. Thank you for being the man you were and for giving us all something to aspire to. I love you, and yes, I'm crying again.

I have known Ed for about 20 years, as an elder in our congregation he was loved by many, as a man admired by most. He never was one to beat around the bush, if it neede to be said, he said it. At our meetings, if I laughed it was usually from some comment he would give, if I cried, it was from a talk he would give. He spoke from his heart and it always showed. Willing to give in any way possible, he helped many. It was always apparent to me that he had been blessed to have married his best friend, Irene. In this world if I could have picked a man to be my father, it would have been Ed. He is in Jehovah's memory now, and he will awaken him when the time comes, to an earthly paradise to live forever.
Life like a mist appears for just a day, then disappears tomorrow,
All that we are can quickly fade away, replaced with tears and sorrow.
If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made:
He will call; the dead will answer.
They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing for the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, As the work of his own hand.
Friends of our God, thought hey may pass away, Will never be forsaken.
All those asleep who in God's memory stay, from death he will awaken.
Then we'll cometo see all that life can be: Paradise eternally. Song111

Dear Irene, Klint and Family,
It has been a privilege to know Kit. He strengthened the congregation, taught by example, gave wonderful talks, and was ever where he was needed. I always looked up to him as a very fine example of a Christian and to you, too, Irene, because you also set a beautiful example for the rest of us.
We have SO much to look forward to in the New World! It doesn't take away the pain now, but soon, when we see our loved ones again...then the pain will go. Until that time may our loving Father, Jehovah, comfort you and grant you peace of mind and heart through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as you pick up the pieces.
Our dear Br. Samuels will be sorely missed.
Phil. 4:6, 7.

God Bless Ed and his family. I will miss drinking coffee with you and solving world issues from your back porch. You taught me many life lessons that I still use. Your influence helped me become the person I am today from family to the way I conduct buisness. My family was blessed to have such great neighbors.

Our condolences to all of the Samuels and especially Irene. When Pat & I moved up here on the MT. again everything was a mess including the yard. We would be inside cleaning and Ed would come over with a lawn mower or a big tractor and cut down the weeds and grass for us. I would just hear a motor, look out the window and there was ED cutting the lawn or a field. He was a good neighbor and friend.

I knew Mr. Samuels for about 15 short years. During that time I grew to respect and admire him very much. He was not only a very kind man, but he was very knowledgeable in business as well as life situations in general. I enjoyed many conversations with him over the years. He always made be feel welcome in his home and in his life. He will be missed. All my love and deepest sympathies go out to Irene, Klint, Stacey and Erika.
