Mark Yanus Obituary
Mark S. Yanus, 64, of White Haven, died at home on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023.
Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of Ruth Domenica Iacono Yanus of Nanticoke and the late Henry Edward Yanus. He was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and earned his bachelor's degree from King's College and was self-employed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Mark was a member of St. Patrick's Church, White Haven, and the American, Pennsylvania and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He enjoyed gardening and traveling with family and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his partners, John Cigna in 2000 and Graham Tynemouth in 2010.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, Ruth, are his siblings, Patricia (Mark) Eroh, Colleen (Daniel) Nearhouse, Paul (Lora Lee) Yanus, all of Nanticoke; and Donna (Mason Bambert) Yanus of Florida; extended family, Kathleen Langhorn and Grace Tynemouth; and nieces, nephews, one great-niece and two great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Church, White Haven, with the Rev. Michael Kloton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
Arrangements under the direction of Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., White Haven.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen, P. O. Box 1088, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18703.

Mark started as the auditor for the agency where I worked, and soon became a cherished friend. We shared a love of antiques, and animals! I can still hear his infectious giggle! My sincere condolences to his family! He was a special person, and I shall miss him. Juanita Krieger

Mark was the best neighbor ever. My twins would be outside and somehow end up bringing Fletch into our yard then she´d run around the house with Spencer. May Mark rest in paradise as he deserves. And many condolences to the family.
