Robert Saba Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father, husband, brother and friend, Robert Saba, on Tueday, May 2, 2023, in University of Pennsylvania Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Bob was a man who touched the lives of many, and his passing has left a void in the hearts of all those who knew him.

Born Nov. 26, 1952, in Kingston, Robert was the son of the late Joseph and Sadie Ellis Saba. A lifelong resident of Kingston, he was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic High School and a parishioner of St. Ignatius Loyola church.

A master electrician, Bob was a member of IBEW union, local No.81, Scranton.

Hardworking, Bob made many friends over his 30-plus years at the Procter & Gamble Mehoopany site. The last 18 years he spent as the construction site safety director for Bilfinger North America Inc.

Bob dedicated his whole life to providing for his beloved wife and daughters. He met the love of his life, Kathy Luketic, when he was 15 years old. They have been happily married for 48 wonderful years. Bob cherished his daughters, Kourtney and Jayme. He was always there when they needed him. He was their biggest supporter, always there to help, however big or small the need. He was their rock.

From his teens, Bob took pride in his work and was known for his meticulous attention to detail. Whether it was at work or at home, he put his heart and soul into everything he did. His determination and work ethic were an inspiration to all those who knew him.

Beyond his work, Bob had a great sense of humor and was known for his quick wit and infectious laughter. He could always make anyone laugh and had a way of bringing light to any situation. He was a joy to be around, and his presence always lifted the spirits of those around him.

Bob was also a dog lover and had a special bond with his Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Kibow. His pets brought him immense joy, and he loved spending time with them as he walked the neighborhood or along the Kingston levies.

In all aspects of his life, Bob was known for his unwavering devotion and loyalty. He was a man of his word, and his actions always spoke louder than his words. He was a true gentleman and will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter and unwavering love for his family.

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy; daughters, Jayme; and Kourtney and her husband, Robert; granddaughters; brother, Joe and wife, Mary; nieces, nephews and their families; friends; and all those who knew him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and humor will live on in the memories of those he touched, and his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.

A visitation for Bob will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in St. Ignatius Loyola Church, North Maple Avenue, Kingston. Those planning on attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 19812.
