Robin Kuchinski Obituary

Robin Coleman Kuchinski, a life resident of Moosic, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 20, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Facing her 2018 diagnosis of ovarian cancer with unmatched strength, courage, dignity and willpower while continuously beating the odds, our true warrior was defeated in her final battle.

Her family will forever find peace in knowing she's finally reunited with the love of her life, her childhood sweetheart, best friend and beloved husband of 35 years, John "Kuch" Kuchinski, who unexpectedly preceded Robin in death on Sept. 27, 2020. There may never have been quite a love story like theirs.

Born Jan. 27, 1963, Robin was the daughter of John C. Coleman, Moosic, whom she deeply adored and admired, and the late Camille "Cookie" Goss Coleman, whom became her angel on Jan. 26, 2021.

A 1980 graduate of Riverside High School, and thereafter a graduate of Keystone Beauty School, Robin began her career at the former Sacchetti's Fine Gentlemen's Barber Shop. From there on, she raised her girls at home while continuing to do hair in-house. She later became employed at Lyon's Barber Shop in Avoca, where she blissfully and gratefully spent the last two decades.

Beyond her talents was her infectious smile, engaging personality and an unrivaled work ethic, all collectively making her an absolute icon to her adoring customers, whom she considered friends rather than clients. Skilled, proud and passionate, barbering was never just a job to Robin; it was her master status.

She loved dancing with her husband and quick getaways to Atlantic City, but above all, she cherished being at home. Whether she'd be in her pool, on her swing or sitting by the fire, she found comfort and joy in these sweet simplicities. She was a longtime New York Yankees fan and loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Kuchinski household was fierce.

Always on point with her appearance, she possessed poise, style and class. Her amazing qualities were countless, but to know Robin was to know love. She was a genuine example of selflessness. Always striving to please, she did so at no imposition of her own. Her happiness thrived from the happiness of everyone around her. She didn't just show love to others, she taught others what love is, and wherever she left her marks, things always seemed better than before. Her intentions defined her, she was truly beautiful inside and out.

The focal point of her life was her family and she would certainly sacrifice anything for them. She was a loyal, devoted and loving wife, the kind of wife one could only ever hope for, a remarkable mother to her two daughters and definitely the "cool mom" to their friends growing up. She was an admiring daughter, an idolized sister and aunt and an exceptionally beloved "Grammy Ro Ro" to her three grandchildren.

Robin brought brightness to so many, and although there will be a void in our hearts without her, nothing can dim the light that shines within us. May she forever light up our lives like eternal sunshine. She will never be forgotten.

Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca.

She is survived by her family, including adoring daughters of whom she was beyond proud, Kaitlyn Falandysz and husband, Bobby, Moosic; and Lindsay Dunn and husband, Philip, Duryea; grandchildren, Philip John Coleman, Hudsyn Rae Dunn and Dylan Young Falandysz; father and hero, John C. Coleman, Moosic; two sisters whom were her best friends, Camille Chickeletti and husband, Bruce, Moosic; and Kimmy Coleman Potter and husband, Frank, Marlton, N.J.; nieces, Alexa Potter and Julia and Gianna Chickeletti; and countless loving cousins and loyal friends.

Also preceding Robin in death were her mother-in-law, Tekla "Tek" Rushefski Kuchinski; and nephew, Rudy Morgan.

Her family will be forever grateful to the friends and relatives who've remained so loving, supportive and helpful.

A funeral Mass was held in Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca, celebrated by the Rev. Phil Sladicka, pastor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robin's name to the donor's favorite charity.
