Bill G. Ottman

Bill G. Ottman, 76, Topeka, passed away Tues., June 20, 2006. Bill was born July 10, 1929 in Richmond, MO, the son of James Felix and Cora Kirkpatrick Ottman. , Bill married Doris Gilbert on Sept. 8, 1950, in Higginsville, MO. He served his country in the Army, stationed at Fort Riley, and is a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bill grew up in Richmond and lived most of his adult life in Topeka and Hutchinson. He was employed by Bankers Investment Company (now Bank of America) for 32 years. Bill was a member of VFW Post 1650, American Legion Post 1, Topeka Elks Lodge 204 and past Exalted Ruler of Hutchinson Elks Lodge 453. Bill is survived by his wife, Doris; a son, Bruce; a daughter, Brenda Jarboe; a son-in-law, Vern Jarboe; a daughter-in-law, Susan Ottman; six grandchildren, Nicole Jarboe, Kimberley Jarboe Fund, Sonia Jarboe, Matt, Mark, and Michael Ottman; and three great-grandchildren, Luke and Leah Ottman and Cassandra Fund. Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ottman. Mr. Ottman was cremated. His family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wed., at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd.
