My family and I have some great memories of time spent with Pete.
Several years ago, on a mild sunny day, we hiked with Pete in the woods to gather pawpaws. Pete loved eating them at either the just barely ripe to the full on ripe stages. We stood around in the sun dappled woods, sampling and discussing, using Pet's pocket knife. He later told me he paid for eating so much at one time. We will miss him, but we feel blessed to have had him as a friend for so many good years. We pray he will be busy and happy as he travels beyond.
I was sick today or I would have been there to see the Copp family at Pete's celebration and send off. Love and hugs from Jan Kresie Barger, Terry, John, and Keelan

Pete was always a sweet and gentle soul to me. I appreciated his tenderness when he knew I was hurting and his genuine joy in seeing me whenever and wherever that happened.

We are so sorry for your loss, and regret that we are unable to make the trip back. Bill always looked up to Pete, like a big brother. He always had a joke, a smile or a story. He and Mona have led a good life, and are great examples of loving and caring parents. We know he will be missed, not only by family and friends, but the whole community looked up to him. God bless you all
