It is incredible how fast the time goes by. Almost 5 years ago you went up to be with the Lord. I still remember the times and great conversations we had here in the jungle of Perú and I will never forget those times. Rest in the peace of the Lord Pastor Phil. I always remember you.

Dearest Sheila and family - words fail at times like this, but know that you are in my prayers and will continue to be. About a week before Phil's passing, I was blessed to see him and renew old memories - we had grown up in Faith Assembly. The Hollis family had been supper guests in our home many times. When Phil spoke my name that day, I was impressed so strongly that I had heard the voice of an angel. God had a purpose for allowing that encounter. Grief and sorrow are hard to bear, but we know our God is faithful and our only source of peace. I awoke the morning of his service, with the words of the old hymn going through my mind - - "won't it be wonderful there." We have that promise to lean on.

Sheila and family. We are so saddened to hear of Phil's passing. Ron and I have reminisced all week about our times together in KS camps and laughed as we remembered some "Phil" stories. We retired last year and moved to Washington, MO after spending 23 yrs in Ft. Worth. Ron has survived cancer four times and is in remission. We wanted to be near our daughter and 3 grandsons.
The memorial video is beautiful and represents your love for your family. Your beautiful grandchildren will be a comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love from Ron & Sue Pettet

I was saddened to hear of Phil's sudden death Friday. I have known Phil for over 50 years. My family and I used to attend Faith Assembly for many years. Phil used to go home with us on Sundays after church to play with my brothers. Phil and his father used to come out to our farm and quail hunt during quail season for many years. May you be comforted by God's peace and love.

I was saddened to hear of Phil's sudden death on Friday. I have known Phil for over 50 years. My parents and family attended Faith Assembly starting in the early 1960's. Phil used to go home with us after church on Sundays every once in awhile. Phil played with my 2 of my brothers he was about the same age as they were. Phil and his father used to come to our farm and quail hunt several times each year during quail season. Phil was a very nice person and an enjoyable person to be around. Our sympathies are with his family in this time of sorry. Kenneth and Dianna Strohm

Shelia, you know that Phil laid the seed that changed the life of my oldest Son, Adam Hamilton, when Phil was our Pastor at Faith Chapel in Stanley Kansas. Adam is now the Senior Pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS. We have 25,000 members. Phil allowed Adam to preach his first Sermon at Faith Chapel before he left for college. Adam met his Wife, LaVon at Faith Chapel. Because of Phil and his love for mentoring young people, thousands have come to know the Lord. All the blessings here in this part of Kansas and across this country are because of Phil Hollis. Thank you Lord for bringing such an outstanding person and his beautiful Bride into our lives. Bless you Shelia and Family.

Sheila, Brandon, Jason, and family: Words cannot describe the sadness and loss we feel over Pastor Phil's passing. It all began with Blanche Spencer and Pastor's Phil's parents being close friends. I then was blessed to meet all of you while accompanying Brandon in his middle school and high school days. Pastor Phil was always there for both of us, in sad times and happy times. He always knew just what to say and how to say it to make everything ok and bring peace once again in our lives. He was truly an inspiration in our lives and he will so missed! Dave and I will never forget Pastor Phil helping us celebrate our 10 year anniversary in the renewing of our vows. He was always there for us and he will remain in our hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all through this time. We love you. God bless you all.

Sheila, Jason, Brandon and Families;
There truly are no words to describe what you are feeling. With each word shared by others; brings the promise of God's peace, comfort and the healing of your broken hearts. Your pain is immense and unbearable; while trying to realize the fact that he will never walk the halls of the church or your home ever again. When my husband Steve passed away nearly twenty years ago; Phil officiated over his funeral. I had discussed with Phil several years ago, that I wanted him to share the love of God at my passing as well. I wish I could help carry your sorrow and angst; but sadly the journey called grief must be traveled alone and in your own time. Knowing that God has promised each of us eternal life in Heaven is often times not enough to carry us through the day or night. Being left behind is heart wrenching and we have to call upon God for His strength and understanding. Be proud that Phil was a good and loving pastor, teacher, friend, confident and healer of hearts through his prayers over others. Phil was well respected by those in the community and had an opened door, to who ever walked through the church doors. Being a pastor and pastor's wife can easily be a 24 hour a day job, and most people are not aware of the time and energy it takes to do God's work. I am proud to say that Phil Hollis was my friend. May God and His Angels be ever bountiful around each of you; and may the Holy Spirit help carry you through your times of mourning.
Love,
Pamela-Crowder-Hefner-Montez

Sheila, Jason and Brandon. My family attended Faith Chapel during my childhood years and I can honestly say that Phil was always my hero of the Faith. I truly account my spiritual journey to him and you, Sheila. My wife and I have been blessed with three children and due to what I was taught as a child under Phil's teaching, I am now passing that torch to my kids. I pray the peace of the Lord during this time but understand that you will see him again very soon. God's blessings.

I am truly heartbroken over the news of Pastor Hollis and cannot begin to imagine the pain his family and church family are going through in this difficult time. I have known Sheila and Philip for years as I groom miss Tsuki. Sheila always told me Tsuki was Phil's baby. I feel for her also as she won't understand whats going on. My heart goes out to everyone & anyone who had the fortunate experience of meeting Phil and having him in their lives but especially Sheila & the immediate family. He was an amazingly sweet man who will be missed by so so many. The only comfort is knowing he is in Heaven and truly gets to experience everything he preached about. I pray he will watch over all of us and help guide us through the rest of our lives until we see him again.

Take your candle n go light this world.
So much to say about How you lead the people Gods way and the Love of God you PORTRAYED.
This world will never be the same but there is Glory in Gods name and Jack Van Impe keeps proclaiming the "Rapture" and I believe Phil is still smiling and dancing Proclaiming Gods Glory in the Realm of Holiness with all the Angels and Saints to help Show us the way n to not look at the tragedy but keep following the Glory!
When I was the last person to hav to find a Prayer partner on August 8 at the Topeka Storm Meeting I Divinely Met This Godly Man Phil he said his name was and I was scared to Pray n make a declaration with a man. I only Knew A Phil Hollis I told him n hadn't seen him in years. He said that's me and Jesus is Lord "You don't hav to be Scared but Prepared."
Wow! 8 Months later I'm left with this MEMORY! (8 in Prophecy means - NEW BEGINNINGS) as I lay in this Hospital Bed rite now with a Miracle of No Cancer frm the tast on Friday surgery. God performed the Declaration Phil proclaimed over me on 8/8/2014 at the Topeka Storm. Meeting - - "Bridging the Gap"!
PRAISE GOD THRU THE TRAGEDY THERE IS PEACE & KEEP OUR EYES ON JESUS FOR HIS GLORY IS COMPLETE.
It's been hard but obedience to the "King of Glory" will cease.
God Bless Sheila, his family and those who had the Divine Experience to Pray and Cease for Gods Glory! 1 Glorious Day we all meet again! Thanks for encouraging me with Prayer and now I feel that Holy Spirit Comforter intimately surrounding your family especially Sheila.
Nehemiah 8:10 "the Joy Of The Lord is our Strength"
God Bless u and keep u.
