We were sorry to hear of Fred's passing. Our memory is of one very much alive and in good health. He certainly lived a full and Noble life. When we met him in England he was concerned that he might not have grandchildren. So glad he was blessed with 9 of them to love. We will miss his interesting and humorous Christmas letters. May you find comfort in God and in the many great memories. Love, Jerry and Mary Lickfold Brownell (Fred's 3rd cousin)

I was shocked to read Freddy's obituary in yesterday's AJC. We had been classmates at John Rundle HS in Grenada, MS in the mid-50s, but I had lost track of him when he went to MS State and I to Ole Miss. With sincere sympathy I send thoughts and prayers to his wife, Susan, and his family.

/To my dear friend Susan, and to Susan and Fred's wonderful children and grandchildren: Your Dad's honored military service is only exceeded by his most honorable role of Father and Grand-Dad. You all exemplify why he was always so proud of all of you. Love, Gerrie Brown Frohne, lifetime BFF of Susan.

Fred was my best friend when we were in Pensacola, and remained someone I really cared for. Susan, Betsy and I add our condolences. We have not been the best at keeping in touch, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. He will truly be missed. We had some great times together! Let us know if ther is anything we can do up here in Virginia (Culpeper area). We have the same e-mmial address D328nav@aol,com.
