John Stockman Obituary

John Wesley Stockman, II, 53, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at his home. A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Stockman was born and spent his entire life in Jackson. He had a passion for cars. He was the owner of US Paint and Body, and considered the best body man in Mississippi. He was a very compassionate person and would do anything for anybody. He was also a recruiter for the U.S. Army. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Stockman was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Stockman.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Hylander Stockman of Clinton; two sons, John Wesley, III, and James Samuel Stockman, both of Atlanta, GA; one step-son, Harry Hylander of Clinton; his mother, Bernice Stockman of Jackson; three sisters, Sarah Tompkins of Edwards, Cindy Cargle of Monroe, GA, and Carol Kabbes of Clinton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
