Mark McEachern Obituary

Mark Gibson McEachern was born September 29, 1984 and died February 26, 2008 at the age of 23. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He leaves behind his father, Raymond Gibson McEachern, of Ridgeland, MS; mother Carolyn Poole Ellis and stepfather, Wilson N. Ellis, of Ridgeland, MS; siblings, Amy McEachern and Wyatt McEachern of Ridgeland, MS; Jill McEachern, and John McEachern, of Tampa, FL; paternal grandmother, Josephine McEachern of Ridgeland, MS; maternal aunts, Beverly Poole Peoples of Madison, MS and Donna Poole Mills of Springfield, MO; paternal uncles, Frank McEachern of Dallas, TX and Dr. Charles M. McEachern, Jr. of Topeka, KS; and paternal aunts, Hazel McEachern Lott of Brandon, MS; Laura McEachern Clark of Raleigh, NC; and Josie McEachern Tucker of Huntsville, AL.
Mark was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Dr. Charles M. McEachern, Sr., and maternal grandparents, John R. Poole and Geraldine Ware Poole.
Mark attended Madison Central High School and was a straight 'A' student at East Central Community College in Decatur, MS, where he was well liked and seemed to be headed in an upward, positive direction. When Mark was little, his teacher commented that he was a "happy little boy with a big heart". Mark's mother says he was a wonderful, loving son, who affectionately referred to her as "Mudders" and was the joy of her life. His brother Wyatt says, "Mark was very intellectual, always inquisitive about new computer technology, and more importantly had a great personality with a heart of gold". He will be deeply missed by all of his family.

To the family of Mark. I got a chance to know Mark and be around him for about a year. He was a kind, sweet spirited young man. He was a polite, curtious and humble guy. He will be missed trmendously. May God heal you in your time of sorrow and grief.

May God bless you all in your time of need. Mark was a friend of mine in high school. Every picture and every memory that I have of him showed him grinning from ear to ear, and that's how I will always remember him! The world needed more rays of sunshine like Mark!
