Willie Shoemaker Obituary
Mr. Shoemaker proudly served in the U. S. Air Force during WW II and in the later part of the war he was a major contributor ending the battle with Japan at Hiroshima. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Kittie Shoemaker; daughter, Mary Yvonne Shoemaker Dorris, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Verbie Shoemaker of Morton, Buzz Shoemaker (Pam) of Madison; grandchildren, Bo Dorris, Joey Dorris, David Dorris, Jessica Martin and Allyson Sartin and 11 great grand children.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Shoemaker's passing. We will never forget all the wonderful things both you and Devon did for Mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Mrs. Shoemaker y family, may God comfort you in days to come. Your husband was one of our WWII heroes, for whom I'm thankful even though we never met. We are greatly indebted to him y others of his generation..
It was also sad to read that Yvonne had preceded him in death. I graduated with her from Morton High School, class of 1964.
