Betty Semler Obituary

Betty Lillian Alspach Semler, 88, of Clarksville, TN passed into the arms of Jesus on January 2, 2025. She was born on November 20, 1936, in Findlay, Ohio, to Ervin and Florence Alspach. In 1954, she married Robert "Lanny" Semler and together they raised five children and built a legacy of family and togetherness that grew to include 61 cherished members before her passing. Betty was the heart of her family – a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who approached life with a sharp mind, a loving heart, and a determination to help her loved ones thrive. Her home was a gathering place, filled with laughter, lively conversations, and the warmth of her presence. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny, and sons Tim Semler and Bob Semler. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Mariam, Helen "Rene", Edna and Ervin Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children Cathy (Brent) Anderson, Pam (Donnie) King, and Patti (Dean) Keatts, as well as her daughters-in-law Diane Semler and Sharon Semler, and her sister, Ella Medvin. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren – Dustin, Devon, Allison, Melissa, Matthew, Angie, Christina, Tara, Amanda, Robert, Ryan, Jonathan and April, as well as 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home on January 16, 2025. Visitation will be held at Noon, with services to follow at 1:00 pm.
