LAURA CHIAVOLI Obituary

LAURA CHIAVOLI Lancaster/Marlborough - Laura M. (Wasel) Chiavoli, 49, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 24, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Adam Chiavoli; her parents, William E. Wasel and Carol A. (Valerio) Wasel of Lancaster; brother, Joseph W. Wasel of Fitchburg; mother-in-law Linda Chiavoli; uncle and aunt, Tom Valerio and Evelyn; cousins Elisha Goulet, Daniel Valerio, Sarah Walsh, Jim Wasel and Mike Wasel; extended family, and dear friends, and notably her adoring Boston Terrier and canine companion Bodie. Raised and educated in Lancaster, Laura graduated from the Nashoba Regional High School, class of 1994 as a standout three sport varsity student athlete and member of the Chieftain Ladies basketball, softball, and soccer teams. She continued studies at Mt. Wachusett Community College and achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technologies from UMass Lowell. Laura began her professional career at Courion in Framingham ultimately joining Harvard University's Harvard Management Company, where she served as Assistant Vice-President of Information Technology. Among Laura's many passions in life, she loved animals, enjoyed gardening, sports, and jewelry making, and of course the Celtics. She was caring, thoughtful, always put family first, and brought laughter to all occasions with her quick wit and sense of humor. Laura will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, in McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will later be held privately in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Laura Chiavoli to ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund, c/o Mass General Development Office, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114.
