Rhonda Wilson Herring
PIKEVILLE — Ms. Rhonda Wilson Herring, 61, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Powell officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home; and other times at the home of her sister, Tammy Carrothers, located at 113-B 4th St, Clinton.
Born in Granville County on March 4, 1961, Rhonda was the daughter of the late Vergle and Betty Lou Ellington Wilson. She was a meat inspector with the USDA. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to the beach and was a diehard UNC Tarheels fan. More than anything, she cherished her family.
Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Hatcher and husband, Christian of Jacksonville; sister, Tammy Wilson Carrothers of Clinton; brother, Danny Wilson and wife, Melinda of Turkey; nephew: Jay Wilson and wife, Jessie; great nieces and nephews: Jerrahd, Jayhdon, Jazmhyn and Jayhce Wilson; special friend, Andy Nunn of Pikeville; stepdaughter, Shanda Bass and husband, Bobby of Kenansville; and step grandchildren: Colby, Logan, Hayden, Trey and Kinsley Bass.
In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Jay Wilson and her late husband, Joe Herring. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.royalhallfuneralhome.com.
