Terri and family, I am so sad to read about Mike. We had a friendship that started in 1980 when I went to CSUS. I have great memories of hiking by the Poudre River, learning how to catch crawdads at the lake, cross country skiing in the mountains and BBQs with other friends in his backyard.
I am so sorry for your loss. My mom called him a 'good egg' and I think that's the best descriptor of him yet.
I apologize for this delay; I figured we had lost track with the move to Hawaii. I just came upon this obituary as I tried to find a new address to send the annual Christmas card.

I can't believe Mike is gone so soon. We worked together at Larimer County and became such good friends that he helped me move more than once! What a great guy and a good friend to so many. His good-hearted smile will be with me forever. My heart aches for his family and friends. I so wish I could put my arms around all of you.

Wow this is really hard, Mike was a big part of my life. He always had a positive outlook and everyone enjoyed being around him. Chuck Conner introduced me to Mike when we were in high school and Mike and I worked together at the Western Drive Inn. During this time Mike was also good friends with my brother Dave, and they had many adventures in Mike’s little MG. Maybe the biggest one was driving to Key West and I think that trip really influenced Mike’s desire to live by the ocean. Later Mike invited me to move to Glenwood Springs to be his roommate. There he helped me get a job that introduced me to land surveying which was my profession for more than 40 years. Just this year, Mike and his wonderful wife Terri did move to Hawaii. I am so glad he got to live his dream, even if his time there was far too short. Mike and I had many good times together over the years. He was a really good person, a great friend, and I will miss him very much.

I met Mike in the 70's. We became friends and even roommates. Later, we both worked for Larimer County and I always enjoyed running into him. Mike was such a nice guy and fun to be with. I share your loss of such a wonderful person.

I met Mike in 68, we both lived in a small apartment complex off 6th and Del Mar circle. Many good times in the following years, and more when the gang lived around Glenwood Springs area and at the Gap ( Rifle Gap ). I will miss the text's and most of all I will miss my little brother.
