Rita M. Divis, 93, of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo, NE. She was born May 24, 1931 in David City, NE to Anthony and Mary (DeWispelare) Lettellier. Rita graduated from David City High School in 1949. On February 18, 1952, Rita was united in marriage to Francis J. Divis at St. Francis Catholic Church in rural David City, NE. She was a farm wife who enjoyed caring for her family and raising her livestock.

Through the years, Rita worked in the Butler County and Saunders County Extension offices. She worked for Krumel Grain, Dr. Monte Pauli and Dee's Catering. She was on the Center Precinct Board and District 23 country school board. She was the past treasurer of the Saunders County Historical Society, past president of the St. Wenceslaus PCCW and the founder of Country Cuties 4-H Club.

Rita enjoyed attending County and State 4-H competitions and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by children, Mary (Bruce) Ellingsen of Grapevine, TX, James (Linda) Divis of Colon, NE and John (Kathy) Divis of Mead, NE; 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Divis; great-grandchild, Francis Fulks; parents, Anthony and Mary Lettellier; son-in-law, Don Phillippe.

Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday (10/31/2024) 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 214 E. 2nd St., Wahoo, NE.

Celebrant, Rev. Jeffrey Eickhoff.

Visitation, Wednesday (10/30/2024) 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Svoboda Funeral Home, Wahoo, NE with 7 p.m. Rosary at the Church.

Interment at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Wahoo, NE.
