KEARNEY -- Dr. Robert R. "Bob" Prososki, 56, of Kearney, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at the CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Bob was born Nov. 24, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Samuel and Leona (Zelasney) Prososki. He graduated from Columbus Scotus High School in 1977. He attended Central Community College Platte campus in Columbus for two years before earning his pharmacy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He married Karen Swanson on June 6, 1981, in Columbus. They moved to Ogallala where he worked as a pharmacist. After a year in Ogallala they moved to Lincoln so Bob could attend dental school. After graduation he served a two year residency in orthodontics. In 1989, they moved to Kearney, and Bob purchased and began Prososki Orthodontics. Bob was very meticulous in his work, and he loved his patients. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Bob was an avid hunter, who enjoyed spending time on the Platte River, attending his kids activities, coaching club soccer and basketball.
Bob is survived by his wife Karen of Kearney; sons, Christopher and his wife Jennifer Prososki of Beatrice, Andrew "Drew" Prososki of Omaha; daughters, Carrie, Carlie, and Allie Prososki of Kearney; parents Sam and Leona Prososki of Columbus; brothers, John and his wife Linda Prososki of Wausau, Wisconsin, Paul Prososki of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Donna Carlin and her husband Kent of Omaha, Lisa Prososki of Tucson, Arizona; and one grandson Bentley Prososki of Beatrice.
