After hearing the news today about Blessing, my heart became sadden. I first met Blessing at the Universal Life Insurance Company training sessions in Memphis, TN. That was in June 1986. Blessing was very kind hearted. He treated Gay A. Butler and myself as his little "sisters". Blessing was a very determined and strong minded person. He loved his family and spoke very highly of them. God has choosen the perfect angel in Blessing. We love you, Blessing, and will miss you greatly.

My deepest sympathy to the family of my late friend Mr. Blessing Asemota. I received the sad news on Thursday 9/7/2017. When I was at the Edo convention in Oakland, California, someone gave me the number to Mr. Asemota. I called that number several times before I received the sad news. We were friends from the early days at Eghosa Anglican Grammer School right up to the time we arrived the United States. We both worked at the High Court of Justice in Benin City as well at different times. I will dearly miss my good friend, and I pray to Almighty God to heal this family in more ways than one. May the good Lord bless my late friend and the family he left behind in Jesus name. Amen. To the wife, Mrs. Asemota, we have spoken in the past when your husband was alive. I was at the point of reconnecting with my friend before this tragedy. I hope to be able to speak to you directly one day. Stay strong and blessed. The Almighty God will guide you and the children to great heights.

Agatha, I was so shocked to see Blessing's obituary in the newspaper. I remember when your family and mine went to Benihana for dinner years ago when our kids were little. Mike Buckler and I divorced in 2007 and ironically Mike passed away on August 18, just a few weeks before Blessing. I have thought about you and your family often since you left Medtronic.
